PPA Kids has an outstanding faculty, under the direction of Louise Pieri who trained at Laine Theatre Arts and is Principal of the full time college. PPA Kids is managed by Honor O’Neill. The faculty is made up of fully qualified teachers and performers.
Louise Pieri grew up in Yorkshire before moving to Surrey to attend Laine Theatre Arts at the age of 16 to study Musical Theatre. She graduated 3 years later at the age of 19 with a Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre. After graduating, Louise embarked on a career in Musical Theatre, working in America, Canada, the Middle East and around Europe.
Throughout her time working as a professional performer she also worked as a freelance dance and singing tutor which inspired her to open Performance Preparation Academy.
To date Louise has been the Principal and owner of Performance Preparation Academy for 10 years with the college recently being validated by De Montfort University to provide BA (Hons) degrees in Musical Theatre and Acting. Her imagination and drive built up the college from an idea to becoming one of the leading Drama Schools in the UK, recognised by the industry for innovation within the training of Performing Arts.
Louise’s motto for all students is to ‘work hard and be kind’.
Born in Jersey, Honor started dancing at the age of 5 at the Jersey Academy of Dancing, studying the ISTD and RAD syllabuses, and taking part in many competitions & festivals throughout the UK.
At the age of 18, Honor began the Musical Theatre Foundation Course at PPA, and then went on to train on the Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre, graduating with Distinction and the Overall Achievement in Musical Theatre Award. During her training, as well as playing Martha in ‘Spring Awakening’ and Tracy in ‘The Life’, Honor had a huge passion for choreography, and was fortunate enough to choreograph her final third year show, The Pirates of Penzance’, at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in June 2017.
Professional Credits include: Dancer - ‘Strictly Come Dancing: An evening with Pasha and Katya’, Ensemble/ Dance Captain - ‘Jack and The Beanstalk’ (Paul Holman Productions).
